All too often in the busyness of life, we lose our focus with what matters most. Instead, we conform to what the world says matters. Fame, success, big houses and cars, etc.. and start to perform and strive to impress others. Most often, this occurs without coconsciously even being aware that we are betraying ourselves.

How do I know?

That’s how I lived for years! My ego needed compliments! My ego needed to hear, well done! My ego needed to be seen and heard! Yet, I always felt it wasn’t enough. Something was missing.

Can you relate?

Why does this matter?

When you live this way, you’re not feeding your soul, you’re feeding your ego. Can I just say this is a joy killer!?!

Is it time to change how to feed your soul?

Here are three tips that changed the way I fed my soul.

  1. Be mindful of what you are consuming on social media, TV, podcast, etc… Here is a great question to ask yourself, “Is it filling me or draining me?”
  2. Know your values and learn to live in alignment with them, every second of every day.
  3. Last and probably most importantly, if you’re a Christian, learn how to walk out your faith everyday.
